Gluten-full Germany

So I have heard that there are others in this great world of ours who physically reject gluten as I do… perhaps not in Germany though? No, seriously, while I have heard rumours of gluten-free possibilities in Berlin, I have to admit they have been hard to find.

My diet over the past few days has consisted of fruit salad, coffee, fruit salad, coffee, lettuce salad, ice-cream, coffee, pork knuckle (looks gross, tastes amazing) and curry werst (interesting in a lots-of-tomato-sauce kind of way).

I have spend my days salivating over the sticky buns and beers that appear on every street corner…mmmm,  delicious gluten poison!

Oh well, my vicarious experience through fellow travellers has been pretty good; so power to all of you who can enjoy the goods that Germany has to offer.

  1. On the plus side Nic, you will avoid gaining 3 kilo for every day you’re in Berlin like everyone else endulging in the glutinous goodness!
